The S/S 2011 Men’s Fashion Week kicked off this past Saturday in Milan with shows from Costume National, Missoni, Prada and the first men’s collection from the McQueen house, after his death.
As always, one of the best shows come from Christopher Bailey’s Burberry Prorsum, who used neutral colours and the always-in-style Burberry trenches, but mixed it up with a biker theme. Bailey sent out leather jackets and vest that mixed well with the jersey pants and leather pants with trenches, achieving a prefect mix of soft and hard. This could also be been seen in the details, using leather epaulettes and cuffs on the trenches, and leather shoulders on the tops.
We love this collection, don’t know how realistic leather pants are in spring, but we will see.
