Shoe maker ECCO has some cute things coming for Spring! On Thursday, Toronto Is Fashion was invited to check out their Spring 2011 collection and we were excited with what we saw. A big trend for Spring/Summer 2011 will be a resurgence of all things 70’s and ECCO will have you covered for this trend, from cute wedges and heels to over-sized hobo bags. Some things we were surprised to learn from the company, were the great features the line carries.
Most of the shoes feature a polyurethane sole, which make it virtually impossible to split from the shoes backing, not to mention the flexibility of the shoes in general. The clog style features a small piece at the front of the shoe which allows for it to bend naturally with your foots natural movement. The menswear line also has some pieces that left us hoping we could skip winter and go straight to spring. An interesting fact we hadn’t known before the preview is the good quality of the leather they use. ECCO owns its own leather tannery in the Netherlands which is also sourced for the making of high end labels such as Louis Vuitton. To find out more about their leather and processing click here.
The spring 2011 ECCO collection will be hitting stores in March, but for now, check out our pictures from the preview below.
