During our many shopping adventures in Toronto, we had never visited ‘Augustina’ before. The delightful luxe boutique is located just off the beaten path in the Yorkville neighborhood. Located along a charming cobblestone laneway, the store invited Toronto Is Fashion to check out their merchandise, and to help celebrate the one year anniversary of their neighboring ‘Auggie’ location; a high-end destination for children and toddlers.
We were surprised at first to see so many beautiful pieces, that were quickly being added to our mental checklists for holiday gifts, until we met Augustina owner Christina Burgess. The stylish and delightful Christina gave us a tour of the digs and explained to us how she and her team carefully curate their selection of jewelery, handbags, shoes, fragrances and clothing. Her team at Augustina work hard at making sure what you see in the store is unique and beautiful, selling gorgeous items you’d be hard pressed to find else where in the city.
Our favorite items in the store were the playful necklace charms (featuring various animals in gold, copper and silvers), purses from Canadian designers that are not only roomy enough for all your must have items but also on par with upcoming Spring trends, and their selection of knitted hats chosen from a retailer in Brooklyn.
Be sure to check out their online boutique and take advantage of free shipping and complimentary gift wrapping, and if your in the city make this a definite shopping stop! Check out the pictures, and the Auggie review, after the page break.
If your a mom to be, a mom already, or are racking your brains out trying to find a unique baby shower gift, ‘Auggie’ has your answer. From art work, clothing, adorable and stylish shoes, playthings and everything in between the items in Auggie are held to the same scrupulous standards as their neighbour Augustina. We fell in love with the ‘Winne the Pooh’ art work, one of a kind bedding and crocheted globe. Check out some pictures of the store and some of the things they have to offer below.
