Canadian leather retailer DANIER has teamed up with Ryerson University’s School of Fashion for the 2nd annual DANIER Design Challenge. The challenge has 3rd year design students create an original women’s leather garment design which will be judged by a panel of experts and voted on by the public. The judges include Robert Ott, Chair of Ryerson School of Fashion, Olga Koel, DANIER’s Chief Merchandising Officer, fashion icon and television host Jeanne Beker, fashion stylist George Antonopoulos and Tiyana Grulovic, a fashion style reporter and stylist .
The top 10 finalist were selected and will be presenting their looks next week at the final presentation, where the top 3 winners will be announced. The winners will be awarded a cash prize of $5,000 for 1st place, $3,000 for 2nd place, and $2,000 for 3rd place, and the winning design will be included in the Danier Fall 2011 collection!
