Last week, at the ceremony for the second Danier Design Challenge, winners were announced at Ryerson University’ School of Fashion. The top 10 designs were featured and judged by an esteemed panel including Robert Ott, Chair of Ryerson’s School of Fashion, DANIER’s Chief Merchandising Officer Olga Koel, Fashion Icon Jeanne Beker, renowned stylist George Antonopoulos and Tiyana Grulovic, Fashion Editor at the Globe and Mail. Voting was also collected on an interactive public online voting element.
The competition unveiled four top prize winners, all receiving cash winnings, and the first prize winner, Ontario native Andrea Dineen, will also have her winning design sold at select DANIER stores this Fall! The second Place went to Jessica Tep who won a $3,000 prize, and there was a tie for the third place, between Robyn Gemzik and Meghan Erin, who won $1,000 each.
