It looks like this winter weather isn’t leaving us anytime soon, but planning ahead for the warmer months never hurt anyone. Especially with these beautiful swimwear pieces from Canadian designer Katharine Demarchelier.
The designer previewed her ‘White Label Swimwear Collection’ at the Gladstone Hotel and showed off pieces from both her new and previous lines. We talked to the Katharine, who is also a model and a Political Science student at the University of Western Ontario, about how her influence for fashion started with her grandmother showing her how to sew at a young age. She decided to create a swimwear line after being disappointed with the swimwear selection currently on the market.

The collection featured some amazing swimwear, both one piece and two pieces, with beautiful feminine prints that the designer told us she created herself using oil pastels, watercolours, and acrylics and had transfered onto the fabrics. The collection was also very practical. All the pieces were completly reversable, giving the buyer two different unique looks, one side with a print while the other side featured a complimentary solid colour. They also featured removable pieces, like a ruffle details. Katherine offers complimentary custom sizing and a product care kit, to help combat chlorine and sea salts, with every purchase. Visit Katharine Demarchelier’s website to see the full collection and to place an order to get your mind thinking about the sunny weather headed our way.
