Earlier today we had the pleasure of sitting down to lunch with one of fashions most iconic individuals, Jeanne Beker. The lunch was filled with some of Toronto’s fashion elite including Flare Magazine editor-in-chief Lisa Tant, Fashion Magazine editor-in-chief Bernadette Morra and CEO of The Bay, Bonnie Brooks. Guests were seated to lunch as Jeanne premiered her latest collection of EDIT by Jeanne Beker.
The latest collection offers beautiful staple pieces for any womans wardrobe like trench coats, pull-over knits and button down tops. The pants in the collection were also beautiful and versatile and included wide leg dress pants, jeggings and well tailored jeans. The knit pull-overs could be belted to sinch in at the waist or worn open for a comfy and casual look. Although the accessories shown are not from the collection, Jeanne let us in on a little secret that by next year she plans to start her own accessory line to compliment her clothing line. Another new introduction to the clothing line was the addition of plus sized clothing which the crowd welcomed with applaud. The pieces in the plus sized range were beautiful and fit in nicely with the entire look of the collection. At the end of the luncheon, the charity ‘Dress For Success’ which provides women outfits to wear for job interviews, was provided with a cheque for $12,000, that was made from the sale of the EDIT lines jeans and jegging collection.
We had a wonderful time at the lunch and were very pleased to see what the busy Fashion Television host has been creating. Head over to The Bay to check out the collection which will be in stores soon.
