The waiting game is over for fashion lovers across Canada. Well….almost. This weekend ‘The Bay’ opened a weekend-only pop-up location on Queen West and Soho Street to give Toronto a taste of what’s to come when they launch Topshop and Topman locations across the country. The temporary store on Soho Street took over a large parking lot with tables of accessories, selected clothing for men and women, and music pumping from the dj booth. Faux grass covered the concrete floor and beach umbrellas over white lounge chairs completed the décor. Today is the last day to check out the pop-up shops and pick up some of London’s hottest fashion imports. The next pop-up shop will be coming late June to The Bay’s Queen Street location and will feature a collection curated by Toronto’s own Tommy Ton as well as a ‘Farewell to Summer’ pop-up shop in Muskoka July 30th to August 1st.
There’s some really good news if you’re a regular of Yorkdale shopping mall. ‘The Bay’ revealed that Yorkdale Mall will house the first Topshop store-within-a-store concept and is slated to open this September! For the fashion lovers who can’t wait for their area to get a Topshop/Topman, there is no need to worry. ‘The Bay’ also announced they will offer merchandise through thebay.com/topshop and thebay.com/topman websites, which will be opening in September as well. This agreement to offer online shopping is an international first for the U.K. based retailer and will allow everyone in Canada an opportunity to own a piece of Topshop.
