Toronto is fashion takes over the ShopMyClothes blog!

We were recently asked to do a blog post for Shop My Clothes, a free marketplace that allows individuals to buy, sell and trade pre owned clothing and related accessories. We were suppose to go onto shopmyclothes.com and pick pieces to create our perfect summer outfit. Let me say we had a hard time because there was so much to choose from. We must have changed our minds at least three times before we came up with this perfect summer look. Check out the post below and head over to Shop My Clothes and the Shop My Clothes blog to find great clothing and accessories. Special thanks to Jonathan for letting us write the post!

Toronto is fashion takes over the ShopMyClothes blog!

We are UNBELIEVABLY excited to have both Richard and Marc from Toronto Is Fashion take over the ShopMyClothes blog and create the PERFECT summer outfit.  So with that I’m going to let them take it away…

As the temperature keeps heating up and with the sun blaring down, we are in a need to look good while still keeping our cool. The perfect shirt, accessory, short and shoes are all important for today’s man. They can be paired with a lightweight cardigan to help to take this look from day to night, when the temperature drops slightly. We found some perfect examples of how to keep your look stylish and hip this summer.

1. A light tee
Nothing beats a perfect, light t-shirt in the summer months. Great for pairing with shorts or jeans, the look can be casual or dressy depending on the occasion. This shirt by Canadian designer Philip Sparks is a perfect example.http://shopmyclothes.com/MyDetails.aspx?postid=3745

2.  White Pants
It takes a confident man to pull off white pants, but if the look is pulled off right it can be a refreshing summer look. A trend that has been big in Europe for a long time, this look is finally being taken seriously here in the western world. Forget what your grandparents told you about ‘white after labour day’ and just have fun with it.  These Hugo Boss white pants are a perfect option for the boys testing out to see if this style works for them.http://shopmyclothes.com/MyDetails.aspx?postid=4343

3. Sunglasses

Every outfit needs accessories to help complete the look, and nothing makes a summer outfit more than the perfect pair of sunglasses. We all know by now the benefits we get by wearing shades to protect our eyes from sun damage, so this accessory should be on the top of your list for summer. Wearing this cool pair of Raybans will help keep your overall look classic with a retro twist. Just be polite and take them off at night and indoors.http://shopmyclothes.com/MyDetails.aspx?postid=2543

4.  Cardigan
For the manly men out there, cardigan might not be in your vocabulary or your closets for that matter. The man who created the cardigan however, was one of the bad ass’s of his generation, a famous general who fought and won wars. In his spare time he was a seller of knitted goods and introduced lightweight fabrics and buttons to the mix. Since then, this light sweater option is universally one of the best ways to stay warm on a chilled summers night.

5. Backpack
Not just for school and college dudes any more, the backpack has been making it’s long overdue comeback over the past few seasons. Proven to be better on your back and shoulders than a messenger bag, a good backpack can be worn to a day on the beach or taken to the office. We found this Raf Simons and Eastpak backpack, that is a great option for the guys that don’t want to be called out for wearing anything that may be called a “murse.”
