We were thrilled when we got an invite to get a look at the Swarovski Fashion Suite at the Four Seasons hotel during the Toronto International Film Festival. Since we have only been blogging for a little over a year, we only had the chance to work the red carpet at many of last years festivities, so you can imagine our excitement to get the chance to check out some lounges this year! We made our way past fans waiting to see celebrities and into the hotel lobby. As we rode the elevator up, our excitement grew and it was hard to contain our smiles, we weren’t even sure what to expect. Then, the elevator doors slipped open.
We walked into the suite which was decorated in traditional Swarovski ‘bling.’ Crystals were hung from ceiling to floor with collections from their outstanding Wings of Fantasy, a new line of accessories and luxurious, cream coloured furniture topped off the décor. Natural light was shinning through the large windows allowing the crystal pieces to glisten in the light rays. We were treated to a rare peak at the ‘Daniel Swarovski Catwalk Collection’ which featured luxurious pieces that would be available to view for the rest of TIFF before they would be carefully packaged up and shipped out to their next destinations. It is not very often the Catwalk Collection is displayed in its entirety like this, so we were delighted we got the opportunity to see it. We got the scoop on what celebs would be dropping by throughout the festival, and what gifts they would be leaving with. A great addition to the lounge was a book of photographs showing Swarovski items being used in cinema, such as the sparkling number Nicole Kidman wore in Moulin Rouge. Diamonds are supposed to be a girls best friend, but these beautiful gems may be the exception.
Check out the pictures from the lounge below. We’ll be posting more on our events from TIFF and we’ll be announcing an amazing TIFF prize pack, featuring a glistening gift from Swarovski, so be sure to check back soon!
