We got the chance to preview the Strellson S/S 2012 collection at the showroom in northern Toronto, a bright and modern space, deceivingly tucked away in what looks like loading dock from the outside. The unique location keeps in step with the previous event we attended for Strellson last season. The slick, open concept space we were in this time was a beautiful backdrop to display the cool spring/summer collection we were previewing. It was nice to attend a preview that had clothes we could wear, and there were quite a few pieces we wanted. Starting with their higher-end line that featured suits, jackets and dress shirts in classic and fresh colours, the company seems to keep their busy professional customer in mind with natural and breathable fabrics. We also liked that they were mixing fabrics like cotton with metal fibers, and combining them to make some pretty interesting looking shirts.
Strellson collaborated with bicycle manufacturer Bianchi, for their ‘Rolling Style – White Edition’ collection. This is the second time Strellson collaborated with Bianchi, the first time was for the black edition, and this time the collection has been further improved upon. The bicycle is an exciting all-white stunner with a light weight frame that any bicyclist would love to ride. The clothing and accessory line developed for this special collaboration are well thought out and has the customer in mind. The bi-stretch suits are breathable and repel both water and dirt, and also feature reflective strips under the collar and on the pockets. The collection’s accessories include a biking shirt, helmet, shoes, socks, and a bag all with a fashionable twist. The StrellsonxBianchi collaboration will be available in March 2012.
