We’ve professed our love for the Converse brand on this blog on more than one occasion. There is something about this legendary brand that strikes a cord with us, and obviously with many others as well. It seems no matter what your lifestyle or personal style, there is always something for everybody with Converse. So needless to say we’re always excited to see the new collections each season. For this Spring and Summer preview we headed over to the swanky ‘Le Germain Hotel’ and had the chance to see what will soon be coming into stores.
There were new collaborations, new innovations, and of course a return of the classic Chuck Taylor All Star in a variety of seasonal colours fresh picked for the season. The newest collabo ties in the brands position as a musician staple by taking the iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette and incorporating graphics from the Grammy Award winning group ‘Gorillaz.’ This partnership with the Gorillaz will also include a Converse “Three Artists. One Song” , a new track exclusively for Converse, that coincides with the launch of the collection. The finished product is a shoe that we think will sell really well, whether someone is a fan of the band or just looking for an awesome shoe.
Another style that caught our attention is the Chuck Taylor All Star Coast. The shoe will fit seamlessly into any summer look but what we were surprised at was how incredibly light weight and versatile they are. Made with a mesh upper and slim sole, the shoe is fully collapsible which means you can fold it up and take it just about any where. Girls, it’s time to take those fold-able, sweat-inducing ballet flats out of the purse and replace them with these. The absolute perfect shoe for the beach since it dries super fast and will give you more support than a flip flop or sandal.
The premium collection offers some mens styles that will definitely be seen all over the streets this summer! Converse is already known as a go-to shoe for guys, from boys to men and all ages in between. The new styles offered this season, like the denim look high tops, distressed John Varvatos and low cut Jack Purcells, will make it easier to find just the right style. Or several.
