Swarovski Crystal Forest Bloor Street Grand Opening

Swarovski held a grand opening party for their newly redesigned Bloor Street location. The new design concept, labelled the Crystal Forest, features stunning crystal art pieces throughout the store. The location was completely remodelled, feeling larger than before and creates a perfect, sparkling backdrop for the Swarovski jewellery and accessories. The brand collaborated with famous Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka. who created the theme of the crystal forest, which included a crystal mural of the Toronto Skyline, crystal branches hanging from the ceiling and a tea party table decorated with cupcakes and tea cups covered in Swarovski crystals.

The night was also a preview of  the new Swarovski jewellery collections. The Swarovski Atelier line is a collaboration with New York based costume designer Zaldy, who was the exclusive costume designer for Lady Gaga’s “Monster Ball” tour, and the costume designer for Cirque de Soleil. There was also collections designed by accessory designer Philip Crangi, fashion designer Christopher Kane and stylist Eric Damen.

We met Ashley Turner, Swarovski’s new Regional Manager for the GTA, who toured the collections and beautiful new store with us. Although she was newer with the company, she was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the brand. So much so that we joked she was filming an episode of ‘Undercover Boss.’ We picked out some of our favourite pieces from the store and chatted about what outfit would look great with it.

With Swarovski giving their stores a needed revamp to match the sparkling gems they sell, we suggest you pop into the store next time you’re in the area so you can take a look for yourself. You can view pictures of the opening party below, and be sure to check back for a special Swarovski contest posting soon.
