1) Toronto Eaton Centre – With over 50 million shoppers visiting the centre annually, this historical landmark has become a destination for both tourists and city dwellers alike. There’s over 280 retailers to shop with and it’s centered around the bustling downtown core which makes it an attractive stop when going out with friends. With a recent multi-million dollar renovation of their food court ‘The Urban Eatery’, The Toronto Eaton Centre continues to be a main attraction in the city of Toronto.

2) Yorkdale Shopping Centre – Having undergone multi-million dollar renovations over the years, including the newest 220 million dollar expansion that will see new retail shops open on November 15th 2012. Recent renovations and store openings have kept this mall at the top of its class, bringing in stores like Tiffany & Co., Tory Burch, Burberry and more, this shopping centre has become a luxury goods destination that is hot on the heels of the swanky Yorkville area. Yorkdale’s newest food court ‘Dine on 3’ is considered a “food collection” rather than a food court, with a mix of restaurants, fast foods and unique service (you can call ahead to reserve a table!).

3) Fairview Mall– Located in the North York part of Toronto, this mall has become a popular spot with area office workers and local highschool and college students. The mall has been given a few facelifts over the years including a renovated, open concept food court and new, luxurious furnishings for mall corridors. With a connection to the TTC subway line right at the mall’s doors and a nearby highway, its just a hop, skip and a jump from the downtown core.

4) Scarborough Town Centre – Before the global recession hit, STC was unveiling plans for a $62 million renovation that included state-of-the-art ‘green technology’ that would highlight the mall’s commitment to the environment. Pushing through with the renovations despite underwhelming economic concerns has paid off for the Scarborough Town Centre, with a long growing list of new, higher-end stores signing leases. Its location is adjacent to a TTC hub and highway 401 making this mall easily accessible to both transit riders and car drivers.
