The 2013 Screen Actors Guild SAG Awards Red Carpet

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were the talk of Hollywood last night as celebrities came out to show off their best dresses and jewels on the red carpet. The Screen Actors Guild Awards honor performers in acting in film and television and are voted by the fellow actors in the guild.

This year’s SAG red carpet saw many new trends on the celebrities. The first big trend we saw was the popularity of the black dresses, which is a complete opposite to the Golden Globes red carpet where the celebrities chose bright and colourful outfits. Instead, celebrities like Anne Hathaway, Tina Fey, and Claire Danes went with all black dresses. The second big trend which we saw on a lot of the actresses is the side part hair-style, which was a big tend at the Golden Globes, with Jennifer Lawrence, Kelly Osbourne, and  Naomi Watts going for the classic and lady-like hair-style.

The biggest SAG news in Canada was the lack of coverage of the show on Global TV, as the show was unavailable on the channel and an old episode of “Debbie Travis: From The Ground Up” and “American Dad” were shown instead. The award show eventually came back but left many viewers wondering “What happened on the end of the Debbie Travis Show?”
