Toronto Fashion Week finished with an off-site fashion show from the label Mikael D at the Fermenting Cellar in the historic Distillery District in downtown Toronto.
Designer Mikael Derderian, who has previously shown at Toronto Fashion Week, took a more intimate approach this year using the cellar as his runway backdrop. Media and guests were treated to wine before filing in to get a seat for the much-anticipated show. The designer is known for his gowns and red-carpet ready dresses, and he brought just that to the runway! The collection was amped up with girly-girl details and featured a fair share of sparkle and lace. Our favourite piece was a red embroidered dress that we absolutely loved. The crowd was also raving about the black crisscrossed dress that featured a high slit to reveal a lace legging underneath.
