Shoe designer Vince Camuto has passed away at the age of 78 in his home in Greenwich, Connecticut, after a battle with cancer.
The designer was one of the founding members of the popular footwear line Nine West in 1978 and then created his own fashion house, the Camuto Group in 2001 which launched the brand Vince Camuto in 2005.
The designer has helped launch the brands of celebrities like Jessica Simpson, who shared a picture of the designer on her Instagram. The designer was also a runway show favourite of many celebrities, stylists and fashion fans around the world. Camuto also collaborated with and has the license for BCBG Max Azria and Lucky Brand shoes, and has a private-label for Banana Republic, Ann Taylor and Dillard’s.
