Shoe designer Ron White, known as the Shoe-Ru to his devoted footwear fans, is launching his annual shoe drive.
To help kick-off the event Ron White was joined by Toronto Mayor John Tory to launch the Ron White Foundation shoe drive, which is celebrating its 19th year! Mayor Tory joined the likes of Rachel McAdams, Celine Dion, Sarah McLaughlin, Eric McCormack and more who have donated their shoes for those in need. The charity has raised over 35,000 pairs and has become Canada’s largest shoe drive to date.
The newly-elected Mayor won’t have to look far for a new pair of shoes to treat himself. Adding to his footwear collection, Ron @ White unveiled a men’s line last summer at Holt Renfrew. The collection had bold prints, textures and redesigned fabrics, but the shoes were suitable and subtle enough to go from the office to weekend warrior mode.

Suits Me Fine, is CAMH’s unique hospital boutique that provides free clothing and personal items to CAMH clients.
“It’s a new year and we all have things in our closests that we can part with. As Canadian temperatures continue to drop, the need for warm footwear is greater than ever,” said CEO and Creative Director, Ron White. “Bring down your gently worn shoes and boots to any Ron White Shoes location and we’ll get them out to some great GTA organizations who help those that don’t have access to basic necessities.”
