Online fashion retailer, Betabrand, is promoting a very interesting new collection.
Betabrand is currently crowd-funding a new collection of clothing items that are being labeled ‘Paparazzi-Proof.’
The reason for this label?
The special Flashback fabric used to create the designs is embedded with glass nanospheres that reflect light. The type of light from camera flashes is perfect to really see how cool these items are.
In a crowd-funded venture between Betabrand and designer DJ Chris Holmes, a long way from the glow-in-the-dark era of clothing, Betabrand and the Flashback collection are hoping today’s generation will be interested in this kind of innovation.
Judging by the crowd-funding reaction, with the Flashback Photobomber Hoodie reaching 106% of it’s goal in just days, it seems that the demand is there.
The prices for the collection vary from around $400 for a suit, $200 for the hoodie, $50 for the hat and around $80 for the scarf. The Flashback collection is certainly catching the interest of consumers online, and we can predict a few celebrities who are already on the waiting list.
