We were invited to a special media event for District 28, Toronto’s newest event space.
District 28 is located in the heart of Toronto’s Studio district, and is the ideal spot for; fashion shows, corporate and private functions. The launch party was an introduction to the venue’s 5 large rooms and a chance to sample a variety of the vendors District 28 partners with. It is equipped with three large, high-end studios, a private screening room, functioning bar, cyclorama and a café.
District 28 is one of Toronto’s hidden gems. Its inception was conceived when stumbling upon an abandoned warehouse in Leslieville which was unseen for over a decade. Built in 1843, this event venue was used to manufacture horse drawn wagons and coaches and then evolved into custom building limousines, cars and truck bodies.
Today, District 28 has been converted into a pristine event space with soaring white walls and ample space. This blank canvas allows event planners’ imaginations to flourish and transform this space, however they like. (Click an image below to enlarge/launch slideshow)
