Mikhael Kale F/W 2011

Putting egos aside Mikhael Kale and Mark Fast decided to share the runway this season, a move not often done in this power-grab fashion world. The two designers were sharing the runway space with designer Arthur Mendoca (check back for pictures!) in a series of fashion runways simply title ‘The Shows.’ We were excited to see what the designers had to offer! After a brief discussion from the designers and fashion icon Jeanne Becker, the show was all set to begin. Anxious fashion lovers in the front row clutched onto iPhones and Blackberry’s, tweeting all the action as it came down the runway. Speaking of coming down the runway, it’s time to talk about the clothing!
The collection offered to us by Mikhael Kale is both romantic and edgy, playfully using flowing fabrics and ruffles to soften the look mixed with darker leathers and stiffer fabric choices. The collection has a lot of peek-a-boo skin, with cut outs throughout the garments, not to mention making this show the first of the season have a peek-a-booby.(We’re sure to see one or two more before the fashion show season is finished).
Check out the pictures from the event below, and make sure you don’t miss a step, slip, or boob down the runway by liking us on Facebook.
