H&M always gets high profile designers and personalities to collaborate with like the Versace for H&M collection, and the recently launched Marni Collection. Today H&M announced their latest collaboration – working with fashion icon and Vogue Japan fashion director Anna Dello Russo on a special collection of accessories for H&M.
The fashion icon, known for her outrageous outfits and her numerous street style photographs seen on almost every blog, worked on the accessory collection that will feature jewelry, sunglasses, shoes, bags and even a carry-on. The collection will be glamorous, and over the top, which is an expression of Dello Russo’s taste for ornamentation. The collection will be available from October 4th, 2012, in 140 stores worldwide and online.
“I am excited by this collaboration: this is the first time H&M has involved a fashion director in a special project. This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chosen to lead it. I wanted to create precious accessories that are impossible to find. As a stylist, I know accessorization is essential; it is the personal touch in any outfits. With these pieces, everybody can have fun, and turn an ordinary day into a fantastic fashion day”, says Anna Dello Russo.
