Welcome to the Hudson Cabaret! Located at Parlour Lounge in Toronto’s nightclub district, Hudson Jeans held their celebration for their 10th year anniversary. In a packed bar, filled with Toronto’s fashion elite, Hudson Jeans not only celebrated their milestone, but also had beautiful models introducing their new jean, the Leeloo, inspired by the look of a tuxedo pant. The Parlour Lounge was chosen because of the intimacy of the bar, and also its décor, which resonated with the sounds and atmosphere of a cabaret.
It is exciting for any company to make it to their tenth anniversary, never mind a company that resides in the competitive field of fashion. Hudson’s public relations team not only made sure all their guests were well taken care of, but also, the team showcased their promotional videos for the brand and gave attendees insight into the brand’s new focus. Leading the promotions was Hudson Jean’s beautiful spokesmodel, Georgia May Jagger, daughter of rocker Mick Jagger and former model Jerry Hall. No wonder she’s a natural in the spotlight!
The ad campaign promoted Hudson’s theme “Welcome to the Hudson Cabaret”, and focused on the individualistic and interesting inspiration behind a cabaret. There was Jagger, sitting in the middle of the ad, wearing the featured pants while multiple legs fanned around her, also wearing the pants. At the party in Toronto, Hudson showcased three spectacular promotional videos showing their new ad campaign, all shot in Paris, the birthplace of the Cabaret.
One of their promotional videos featured the Leeloo pant on a stage, ready for a performance. As the video started, the pant colours kept changing, showcasing all the variations, while the model was doing the ‘running man’ dance. The next video, which highlighted their new Juliette skinny jean, with zippers on the ankles, had beat boxer TEZ perform a beatbox (done entirely with his mouth) that replicated the sound zippers make, as his accompaniment. The third promotional video featured Georgia May Jagger and the pop band Au Revoir Simone, celebrating the campaign that is a collection of Art Deco styles. The Art Deco styles, which will launch across Canada this month, was inspired by Faberge eggs, diamond bracelets and patterned, wall paper.
The Hudson Cabaret launch party was a huge success and showcased Hudson’s new collection in a beautiful and positive light. It was truly a fun night for everyone in Toronto, who was lucky enough to be there. We will all have to wait, with baited breath, to see what Hudson will come up with for their 20th anniversary!
