We were invited to the Harry Rosen Spring/Summer 2013 preview to get a look at what the menswear retailer will have in stores this coming spring. It was a rainy and cold morning when we arrived at the preview but we were happy to see that there was an explosion of colour on the mannequins and on the displays. The menswear store that known as the go-to store for business attires and suits has stepped out of the box in recent years, offering men more fun and colourful pieces like shoes from Cole Haan’s Lunar Guards, and our favourite, a bright blue suede Tom Ford bomber jacket. “Understanding colour is fundamental to dressing well” says Paul E. Smith, Fashion Communications Manager of Harry Rosen. “For men who still find the idea of incorporating colour into their look intimidating, we suggest starting slowly and add flashes of colour to your wardrobe, like a colourful pocket square, tie or a patterned sock.” There were many examples of how you could take colour slowly into your wardrobe, whether a fun printed bow tie from Etro or a casual and classic colored polo from Fred Perry or Burberry. Harry Rosen offers new ways to take the average black, navy and brown colour story in most men’s closets by instantly updating with pops of colour. Some exciting new arrivals to Harry Rosen this spring include the addition of Just Cavalli, the a partnership line of Roberto Cavalli, some exclusive new colours of the New Balance M1500, and the RLX Golf collection from Ralph Lauren.
